Project WORKSplus
Professional reorientation

MISA Arkade e. V., together with the counseling center Aspasia of AIDS-Hilfe Pforzheim e. V. and QPRINTS&SERVICE gGmbH, also based in Pforzheim, is the implementing location of the supra-regional network project WORKSplus of Werkstatt PARITÄT gGmbH.
The project is aimed at people in prostitution who need counseling and/or support. The focus is particularly on those who have the desire and personal interest to reorient themselves professionally. Within the framework of the project, we offer support, coaching, and measures for professional reorientation or career transition.
The WORKSplus project is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration with funds from the European Union within the framework of the European Social Fund Plus in Baden-Württemberg and from state funds.

Loverboy scam
Say no when love turns into prostitution!
For many young women in prostitution, the loverboy scam is their gateway into prostitution. This method involves tricking underage girls into believing they are in a romantic relationship. The perpetrators are often charming, young, and good-looking, and initiate contact via social media. The victim is made dependent on the perpetrator. They then use an emergency situation—often debt—as an excuse. The seemingly only solution: The victim engages in prostitution to earn money. The number of such cases is not recorded by the police. Many victims do not report the loverboy scam, even though it is considered a criminal offense, namely human trafficking and forced prostitution. To protect potential victims, the MISA team educates schools about the loverboy method.
In two school lessons, we'll explain what the loverboy scam is, how to recognize it, and where to find help. There will also be time for discussion and questions. Through various exercises, students learn to recognize, respect, and communicate boundaries. This is intended to empower young people and raise awareness of abuse. Schools, organizations, and institutions are welcome to request the prevention project "The Loverboy Scam - Say No When Love Turns into Prostitution!"

Project SELMA
Raising awareness and empowering people in prostitution

The joint project "SELMA – Raising Awareness and Empowering People in Prostitution," funded by the European Social Fund as part of the EhaP Plus program, has two pillars: On the one hand, the project partners, Aidshilfe Tübingen-Reutlingen and Arkade eV, provide low-threshold counseling services for people in prostitution who are particularly affected by poverty and marginalization in the Ravensburg and Bodenseekreis districts (empowerment). On the other hand, the project serves the purpose of anti-stigma work by informing the general public and (future) government employees about the complex and controversial topic of "prostitution/sex work" through workshops, events, and social media campaigns (awareness).
